The Washington Model Traffic Code, Chapter 308-330 WAC, as it currently exists or may hereafter be amended, is hereby adopted as the traffic code of the city of Edgewood. The purpose of this chapter and the code adopted herein is to provide a system of traffic control regulations consistent with state law and generally conforming to similar regulations throughout the state.

This chapter shall apply to every street, alley, sidewalk area, driveway, park and to every other public way or public place or public parking area within the corporate limits of the city.

WAC 308-330-910 and this chapter shall be so interpreted and construed as to effectuate its general purpose. Chapter, article and section headings of this chapter and of the adopted Model Traffic Code shall not be deemed to govern, limit or modify in any manner the adopted scope, meaning or extent of the provisions of any article or section thereof.
