Town of Milo, NY Article III Areas of Special Flood Hazard

§ 204-11 Basis for establishing the areas of special flood hazard.

The areas of special flood hazard for the Town, which has Community Number 360961, are identified and defined in the following documents prepared by FEMA:

A. FIRM Panel Numbers:

(1) 36123C0164E; and

(2) 36123C0166E; and

(3) 36123C0168E; and

(4) 36123C0170E; and

(5) 36123C0190E; and

(6) 36123C0252E; and

(7) 36123C0254E; and

(8) 36123C0260E; and

(9) 36123C0280E; and

(10) 36123C0285E,

whose effective date is June 18, 2025, and any subsequent revisions to these map panels that do not affect areas under our community's jurisdiction. For the purposes of this chapter, these FIRM panel numbers shall be defined/known as the "community's FIRMs."

B. A scientific and engineering report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Yates County, New York, All Jurisdictions" dated June 18, 2025. For the purposes of this chapter, this report shall be defined/knows as the "Flood Insurance Study of Yates County."

C. Furthermore, the above documents are hereby adopted and declared to be a part of this chapter. Lastly, the above documents are available for public review and are on file at: Town Clerk's Office, 137 Main St. Penn Yan, NY 14527.

§ 204-12 Basis for base flood elevation.

The base flood elevations for the Town, which has a Community Number 360961, are identified and defined within the Flood Insurance Study of Yates County, dated June 18, 2025.
