Former Chapter 6.04, Public Health Code, derived from Prior code §§ 5100—5102, Ord. 1218, Ord. 1277 and Ord. 1384, was superseded by Ord. 2264, 7/2/2025.
Pursuant to Government Code Section 50022.9, the city council incorporates into this code, by reference, Title 11 of the Los Angeles County Code entitled "Health and Safety, including, without limitation Division 1, subject to the amendments, additions and deletions set forth in this chapter. The provisions of this code take precedence over any conflicting provisions in Title 11 of the Los Angeles County Code.

Los Angeles County Code Title 11, as adopted by Ordinance No. 7583, is amended as follows:
(a) 
Section 601, Section 603, and Section 608 are repealed.
(b) 
Section 555 is amended to read:
"every person maintaining a wading pool which is open to the public must provide constant supervision at all times when such wading pool is open to the public, by an adult or person 16 years or older who is credentialed as a qualified Life Saver."

Section 113 is added to the Los Angeles Public Health Code to read as follows:
"any person dissatisfied with any decision or order of the Health Officer, under the provisions of this Code, may appeal said decision or order, within five days after the effective date of such decision or order, to the City Council. The decision of the City Council is final."

Any person violating any provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor unless otherwise provided in this title.
