Pursuant to Penal Code Section 13500 et seq., the County elects to qualify for aid from the State of California under the provisions of the law pertaining to raising the level of competence of local law enforcement officers.

Pursuant to the requirements of Penal Code Section 13522, the County will, while receiving any State aid pursuant to Chapter 1 of Title 4 of Part 4 of the Penal Code, adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.
