The County Health Officer and their delegated subordinates, pursuant to the provisions of California Penal Code Section 836.5, are authorized to arrest a person without a warrant whenever they have reasonable cause to believe that the person has committed an infraction or a misdemeanor in their presence which is a violation of any of the provisions of Chapters 7.04 through 7.16, 7.20 (except SCCC § 7.20.030) and 7.36, 7.42, 7.44 through 7.52, 7.60, 7.72, 7.80 and 7.100 SCCC, or of any other statute or law the enforcement of which is under the administration of the Health Officer. Upon making an arrest, the Health Officer or their delegated subordinate shall prepare a citation and release the person arrested, pursuant to Penal Code Section 853.6, the provisions of which are hereby adopted by reference as part of this section.
