The Police Commission shall consist of five citizens who are residents of the Village, three of whom shall constitute a quorum. Initially, upon adoption of this subsection, the Village President shall appoint five members subject to confirmation of the Village Board who shall serve until May 1, 2017. Commencing May 1, 2017, the five initial members shall be appointed as follows:
A.
One member for a one-year term.
B.
One member for a two-year term.
C.
One member for a three-year term.
D.
One member for a four-year term.
E.
One member for a five-year term.
The Village President shall annually, between the last Monday of April and the first Monday of May, appoint in writing, to be filed with the Village Clerk, one member for a term of five years, subject to confirmation by the Village Board.
