The California Building Standards Code, 2025 Edition, California Code of Regulations, Title 24, published by the International Code Council, is adopted by reference, including all volumes listed below. These codes are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, save and except such portions as are deleted, modified or amended in this chapter.
Part 1: California Administrative Code.
Part 2: California Building Code – Volumes 1 and 2, including Division II of Chapter 1.
Part 2.5: California Residential Code, including Division II of Chapter 1.
Part 3: California Electrical Code, including Article 89.
Part 4: California Mechanical Code, including Division II of Chapter 1.
Part 5: California Plumbing Code, including Division II of Chapter 1.
Part 6: California Energy Code.
Part 7: California Wildland-Urban Interface Code.
Part 9: California Fire Code, including Division II of Chapter 1.
Part 10: California Existing Building Code.
Part 11: California Green Building Standards Code.
Part 12: California Referenced Standards Code.

A copy of the California Building Standards Code is on file in the building division for use and examination by the public.

The following additional code and manual are adopted by reference:

2024 International Property Maintenance Code.
B. 
Fire Resistance Design Manual (2024), published by the Gypsum Association.
In the event of any conflict between these other codes and the California Building Standards Code, as adopted and amended by this chapter, the California Building Standards Code, as amended, shall prevail.

The permit fees are established by city council resolution, as authorized by Chapter 1, section 109 of the California Building Code.

The 2025 California Fire Code is amended by the changes, additions and deletions set forth in this section. Chapter and section numbers used in this section are those of the 2025 California Fire Code[1].
