(a)
Prohibited.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or ride a motorized vehicle on any area designated the public park of the city, except in areas specified for parking. Park maintenance vehicles, public safety vehicles, handicap accessibility vehicles and vehicles used in connection with special events, if approved by the City Secretary or his or her designee, shall be exempt from this subsection (a).
(b)
Motorized vehicles defined.
Any vehicle propelled by a motor including but not limited to go-carts, all terrain vehicles (ATV's), mini bikes, golf carts and RV's.
(c)
Penalty.
Any person violating the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not to exceed the maximum allowable by state statute. Each and every violation of this section shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
