(Ord. 1286(SUB) § 5, 2011)
A permittee may operate a tour vehicle only on a route that is shown on an approved route plan for the permittee that is on file with the chief of police. The permittee shall file the route plan with the chief of police showing the route or routes on which the permittee will operate a tour vehicle, and all scheduled stops on each route, not later than May 1 of each year. The chief of police shall approve a route plan unless the chief of police finds that operation of a tour vehicle on the route plan will cause a traffic hazard or unreasonable traffic delay or congestion. The chief of police shall notify the permittee in writing of the rejection of a route plan within 24 hours after its filing, with a statement of the reasons for the rejection. The rejection of a route plan is subject to appeal under the procedure in KCC § 5.40.050.
