There is adopted by this section, to be used as the rules and regulations governing all parks within the city, including parks owned and operated by both the city and the county of Los Angeles, Ordinance No. 10309 of the county of Los Angeles, entitled "An Ordinance Relating to Rules and Regulations for County Parks and Recreation Camps, Riding and Hiking Trails and Other Recreation Areas and Repealing Ordinance No. 9766."

Three copies of Ordinance No. 10309 as adopted by BGMC § 12.04.010 have been deposited with the office of city clerk and shall be maintained at all times by the clerk for use and examination by the public.

Organized sports shall not be permitted to utilize city parks and green ways. "Organized sports" for purposes of this ban shall mean any sports team that is organized by virtue of having regularly scheduled games, membership dues, coaches, parent support groups or affiliation with larger nonprofit or profit organizations.
The city may by permit allow an organized sports team the use of designated areas of a particular park upon application. Preference shall be given, however, to city-sponsored sports events and to everyday utilization of parks by residents who do not participate in such organized sports.
