A.
No signs except for those owned by the Town of Boonton shall be erected on public property, including within public rights-of-way, except as permitted under Subsection B below.
B.
There shall be one exclusive location for temporary noncommercial signs, and which may be posted on the fence on Upper Main Street near Helen Bosche Park between the overlook and split rail fence, as shown in the attached tax map, by first obtaining a permit from the Zoning Official in accordance with Article I, except that there shall be no fee for this permit. Signs are limited to one per permit and may not exceed 12 square feet in size. Signs may be posted for a maximum of 30 days. All signs are permitted at this exclusive location, conforming with the above-noted restrictions, except for those promoting or inciting hate, profanity or violence.
C.
The Town of Boonton Code Enforcement Officer, Zoning Officer, Police Department, or any other designee of the Town Administrator, is authorized to immediately remove and dispose of any sign posted in violation this article.
D.
There shall be no signs within five feet of the street or curbline.
E.
All signs within this section shall require a permit through the Town Zoning Department.
F.
There shall be no more than three applications per year per organization for permits as required by this section.
