A. 
Restricted. No town employee or official shall receive or offer to receive, either directly or indirectly, any gift, gratuity or other thing of value which he is not authorized to receive from any person who:
1. 
Has or is seeking to obtain contractual or other business or financial relationships with the town or town board;
2. 
Conducts operations or activities which are regulated by the town or town board; or
3. 
Has interests which may be substantially affected by the town or town board.
B. 
Penalty. Any person who violates subsection A of this section shall be required to forfeit not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) and not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for each violation.

No member of the immediate family of a full-time or part-time employee of the town shall be employed by the town in a full-time or part-time capacity without approval of the town board. The term “immediate family” as used in this section means: (a) an individual’s spouse; or (b) an individual’s relative by marriage, lineal descent or adoption who receives, directly or indirectly, more than one-half of his or her support from the individual or from whom the individual receives, directly or indirectly, more than one-half of his or her support.
