Where a public sanitary sewer is not available for use as provided by SMC § 13.04.060, § 13.04.070 and § 13.04.080, and that is so certified by the utilities director, the building drain may be connected to a private sewage disposal system or replacement thereof, any of which must comply with applicable city ordinances, and in the absence of such applicable ordinances, with King County regulations for septic systems.
