The city clerk/treasurer shall, before entering upon the duties of his office, take and subscribe an oath and enter into bond to the city equal to the amount of money liable to come into his hands during his term of office to be determined by the mayor and city council.

The city attorney, city clerk/treasurer, police judge, chief of police and night watch each shall, before entering upon the duties of his office, take and subscribe to his oath of office and enter into bond to the city in the sum of one thousand dollars.
