It is unlawful for any person, company, or corporation to operate, rent, or carry on for the gain that may directly, indirectly or incidentally accrue or result from the commercial use of pool tables, billiard tables, or card tables without first obtaining a license therefor, in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. The license required by this chapter is separate from and in addition to the business license issued under Chapter 5.25 TMC, which may also be required when applicable.

Any person, company or corporation desiring to operate or carry on for the gain that may directly, indirectly or incidentally accrue or result from the use of any such pool table, billiard table, or card table may obtain a license for one year for so doing by applying to the town council of said town of Twisp for said license, and a fee for the same, in payment of said annual license, shall be the sum of $10.00 for one pool, billiard or card table, and $6.00 for each additional pool, billiard or card table.

Each and every pool table, billiard table or card table kept in any pool hall or other place operated for profit shall be deemed as coming within the purview of this chapter.

It shall be unlawful for any person, company or corporation operating any pool table, billiard table or card table under the provisions of this chapter to allow to enter or remain in his pool, billiard or card room any person under the age of 21 years, or to permit any person under the age of 21 years to play any game of pool, billiards or cards therein.

Any person who shall offend against any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less than $5.00, nor more than $100.00, and the costs of prosecution, and in default of payment may be imprisoned in the town jail of said town until such fine and costs are paid, not exceeding 90 days.
