The rules of the road as adopted and defined by the state of Washington and hereby adopted and made a part of the ordinances of the town of Twisp, and all penalties provided therefor are made the penalties for all violations within the corporate limits of the town of Twisp excepting as hereinafter changed or modified.

It shall be unlawful for any person to do any of the following acts:
(1) 
Driving a car or a truck or other vehicle on any of the streets and alleys of the town of Twisp at a greater rate of speed than 25 miles per hour in residential sections and 20 miles per hour in business sections;
(2) 
Driving a car or a truck or other vehicle in a reckless manner;
(3) 
Parking any car or truck or other vehicle within a distance of 15 feet from any hydrant or in front of the fire station;
(4) 
Parking a car or a truck or other vehicle within 20 feet of any alley or street corner or within 30 feet of a stop sign;
(5) 
Turning in the middle of any street that is not marked for the purpose of turning;
(6) 
The needless blowing of any horn;
(7) 
Running through any stop lights, or parking where there is any sign prohibiting parking;
(8) 
Driving any car or truck or other vehicle without a driver's license, or driving or operating any vehicle under the age provided by law; driving any car or truck or leaving any car or truck in the streets of the town when the fire siren blows. Anyone on the streets when the fire siren blows must immediately park at the first available place, and all cars or trucks in an alley must clear the alley immediately upon the blowing of the fire siren. No one shall drive over a fire hose.

(1) 
Parking in the town shall be as follows: an angle of 45 degrees with the front end of the car or vehicle against the curb on the following streets:
(a) 
West side of Glover Street from intersection with Twisp Avenue South to intersection with Third Avenue;
(b) 
East side of Glover Street from intersection with Twisp Avenue South to and including Lot 4 of Block 5, Townsite of Gloversville.
(2) 
Motor vehicles and other vehicles must park parallel with the sidewalk and in the general direction of traffic on all streets except as mentioned in subsection (1) of this section.
(3) 
The area on east side of Glover Street commencing at north boundary of Lot 3, Block 5, Townsite of Gloversville south to the intersection of Third Avenue is hereby designated a bus parking zone and parking by other than public buses is prohibited at all times.
(4) 
No motor vehicles or other vehicle shall be parked in any alley, and alleys shall at all times be unobstructed for travel, except for load and unload, at which times vehicle shall not be unattended.

There shall be no parking by trucks on Glover Street between Third Avenue and Twisp Avenue. Further no vehicle exceeding the length of 18 feet shall be allowed to park in this same section of Glover Street from Third Avenue to Twisp Avenue. And no vehicle shall be allowed to double park any place in the town streets.

Anyone violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100.00 or by imprisonment of not more than 30 days or by both fine and imprisonment.
