The 2021 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, including Appendices H and I, is hereby adopted by reference with the following additions, deletions and exceptions; provided, that Chapters 12 and 15 of this code are not adopted; provided further, that those requirements of the Uniform Plumbing Code relating to venting and combustion air of fuel fired appliances as found in Chapter 5 and those portions of the code addressing building sewers are not adopted.

(1) 
Inspections must be requested in advance as stated on the city of Clarkston permit.
(2) 
The city of Clarkston allows 14 working days from receipt to review plans; if deficiencies are found all returned documents, and additional 14 working days shall be allowed for re-review.

Notwithstanding any and all reference to penalties contained within the Uniform Plumbing Code, 2021 Edition, the penalties to each violation of any term and/or condition and/or requirement of this chapter shall be a civil infraction, as defined in CMC 1.01.110(1)(a), and for each violation shall be fined an amount of $150.00. For a second infraction of the same provision occurring within a 12-month period, the amount of the penalty that may be forfeited shall increase to $200.00. For a third and subsequent infraction of the same provision within a 12-month period, the amount of the penalty that may be forfeited shall increase to $250.00. Each day that a violation exists shall be a separate and distinct violation.
