The purpose of this chapter is to provide a means for individuals to drive commercial trucks onto residential streets on a routine basis for business.

A commercial truck permit shall comply with the following:
1. 
No more than one commercial truck shall be allowed on a residential property.
2. 
A commercial truck shall not be parked overnight on a public street.
3. 
No repairs or maintenance can be performed on a commercial truck on the residential property or the public street.
4. 
A paved parking area shall be provided for the commercial truck.

In addition to the requirements in HMC § 5.05.070, an application for a commercial truck permit shall include:
1. 
The designated route(s) of travel to and from a designated truck route to the residence where the truck will be kept.
2. 
The anticipated days of the week and times of day the truck will be traveling on nondesignated truck route streets.
3. 
A diagram showing the location of the proposed parking for the commercial truck.
