There is hereby established a Division of Recreation within the Department of Community Services which shall be responsible for the planning, development, operation, coordination, and administration of municipal recreational programs, services, and facilities designed to promote health, wellness, and quality of life for residents of all ages and abilities. The Division shall oversee recreational opportunities that encourage community participation, inclusion, and active living throughout the City.
The personnel staff in the Division of Recreation may include clerical, operational, supervisory and managerial positions as deemed necessary within the budgetary limits established by the Council.
