The rules and regulations set forth in this chapter are hereby established in connection with the use and operation of the Fircrest swimming pool and attendant facilities.

Entrance to the swimming pool area and use of the facilities thereof may be gained only upon presentation of a paid membership card belonging to the person requesting such admission, or payment of appropriate fees.

The following shall be required of all persons using the pool:
Possession or consumption of food or beverage of any kind on pool, deck or in pool dressing areas without the specific approval of the parks and recreation director.

The parks and recreation director, or designee, shall have the authority to close the pool in the event of inclement weather or any other valid purpose for health reasons.

The parks and recreation director and his or her duly authorized assistants in his or her absence may suspend and remove from the pool and pool area any person violating these rules or any other rule or regulation which has been established pursuant to FMC § 10.04.010 or which conduct jeopardizes or tends to jeopardize the safety or enjoyment of others using the pool facilities.

Those in charge of groups visiting or using the pool facility shall be responsible for the conduct of all members of their group (life guard shall retain authority to supervise conduct and safety in the waters). Groups may be required to provide proof of liability insurance coverage as required by the parks and recreation director.
