A.
The position of municipal judge is created and established.

The municipal judge shall be appointed by the city manager, subject to confirmation by the city council.
C.
The term of office shall be for four years. The appointment shall be made for each term. The person so appointed as municipal judge shall be a citizen of the United States of America and of the state and needs to be an attorney. The person so appointed as municipal judge need not be a resident of the city. In the event an attorney is appointed, then the attorney shall be duly admitted to practice before the courts of record of the state.
