The purpose of the personnel committee is to make recommendations to the town council on those matters relating to personnel policies and practices, compensation, organizational structure, and job descriptions for all employees and the mayor position. The personnel committee may also provide input on the annual performance review process of the mayor, including compensation recommendations, and offer input to the council on any other human resource matters.
Other duties may be assigned by action of the town council. The committee shall have no authority to bind the town but shall bring all recommendations to the council for decision.
