The provisions of this chapter may be used by an applicant seeking approval of a subdivision or short subdivision. An applicant utilizing the provisions of this chapter must meet the requirements of a final plat as specified in YPMC § 16.24.040.

The application will be submitted to the town clerk/treasurer who will affix to the application a file number and the date it is received. The application will be reviewed as follows:

If the application is for a short subdivision, the application will be transmitted to the town staff for review.

If the application is for a subdivision, the application will be transmitted to the town staff for review for completeness in accordance with Chapters 14.04, 16.04, and 16.12 YPMC. Upon a determination of completeness, town staff will forward the subdivision application to the planning commission. The planning commission shall, at its next regular meeting, make a recommendation for approval, approval with conditions, or disapproval. The planning commission recommendation will be forwarded with the application to the town council. The town council will approve, approve with conditions, or disapprove the subdivision based on the criteria established in Chapters 16.12 and 16.24 YPMC and this chapter.
