A. 
Criminal Penalty.
1. 
Unless otherwise provided, any person violating any provision or failing to comply with any mandatory requirement of this code or any ordinance of the city shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be punished as stated in RCW 9.92.030, as amended.
2. 
Any person violating any provision or failing to comply with any mandatory requirement of this code or an ordinance of the city that is designated a gross misdemeanor shall be punished as stated in RCW 9.92.020, as amended.
B. 
Civil Penalty.
1. 
Any person violating any of the provisions of this code or any ordinance of the city that is designated a civil offense or civil violation shall have committed a civil infraction.
2. 
Unless otherwise provided by city resolution, any person committing a civil infraction shall be assessed a monetary penalty of $500.00 for each day the violation occurs.

Each person is guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of this code or any ordinance of the city is committed, continued or permitted by any person, and is punishable accordingly.
