The Department is authorized to issue a Research License to the College of Menominee Nation, or any other person or entity engaged in research. Entities other than the College of Menominee Nation must be approved by the Department. Such Research License may authorize the growth and cultivation of Cannabis or Marijuana for the purpose of engaging in agricultural or academic research upon application for such a license to the Department. The Department shall state in the Research License any applicable license conditions.
The Department is authorized to issue a Testing License to any entity engaged in testing of Cannabis and Cannabis products. Such Testing License may authorize the possession and transportation of Cannabis or Cannabis Products for the purpose of engaging in testing upon application for such a license to the Department. The Department shall state in the Testing License any applicable license conditions. The Department itself is authorized to conduct testing with its own employees as part of its general duties under this chapter 412.
