A code regulating retail food establishments and fixing penalties is hereby established pursuant to Chapter 188, Laws of 1950 (N.J.S.A. 26:3-69.1 et seq.).
The code established and adopted by this article is described and commonly known as the "Retail Food Establishment Code of New Jersey (1965)."
Three copies of the Retail Food Establishment Code of New Jersey (1965) have been placed on file in the office of the Township Clerk and will remain on file in such office for use and examination by the public.
The code is amended in Section 1.12 to read as follows:

HEALTH AUTHORITY shall mean and include regular and special patrolmen and superior officers of the Police Department of the Township, the Building Inspector or Official of the Township, the Health Officer or any other official authorized by the Township Committee to enforce this code and article.
Any person who violates any provision of or order promulgated under this article or code established herein shall, upon conviction thereof, be liable to a penalty of not less than $5 nor more than $500 for each violation. Each day a particular violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
