There is hereby created the part-time position of Clean Communities Coordinator for the Township of Lacey.
The Clean Communities Coordinator shall be responsible for the planning, promotion, development and supervision of a community-wide program of activities relating to the cleanup of trash and debris in the Township. The Clean Communities Coordinator shall be required to do related work as directed by the Committeeman in charge of public works. The Clean Communities Coordinator plans, initiates, organizes and supervises an extensive program of cleanup activities for the entire community. He supervises, trains, evaluates and advises part-time personnel. He recommends, demonstrates and applies techniques, procedures, materials, equipment and supplies for use in special activities and assists in the interpretation of the clean communities program.
To be appointed to the position of Clean Communities Coordinator, an individual must meet the following requirements:
A. 
He must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license.
B. 
He must possess a basic knowledge of the standard tools, materials, methods, practices and occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in the general trash pickup and cleaning of debris on Township property.
C. 
He must have considerable knowledge of the methods and problems involved in planning, promoting, developing and supervising a clean communities program.
D. 
He must have the ability to organize, develop and coordinate a clean communities program; the ability to give suitable assignments and instructions to subordinates and to supervise their work; the ability to enlist the interest of concerned people and encourage their participation in the organized program and to establish and maintain helpful and cooperative relationships with associates and the public; and the ability to supervise the clean communities program and maintain needed records and files.
E. 
He must possess good health and freedom from disabling physical and mental defects.
The salary for the part-time position of Clean Communities Coordinator shall be determined, from time to time, by the Township Committee and shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of the Salary Ordinance of the Township of Lacey.[1]
