GENERAL REFERENCES
Use of docks — See Ch. 165.
All bulkheading or other approved and acceptable means of stabilization shall be specifically designed and constructed to:
A. 
Stabilize shorelines or embankments to prevent erosion due either to surface runoff, tidal action and/or gravity due to slopes exceeding the maximum angle or repose of the material within the embankment.
B. 
Prevent siltation or sedimentation of the body of water through erosion or the unstabilized embankment or shoreline.
C. 
Ensure dimensional stability of the lot, parcel, tract and property.
No bulkheading or other shoreline stabilization may be performed unless all required permits have been granted by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the United States Army Corps of Engineers and all other outside agencies as may be applicable. Copies of all required permits and copies of the approved bulkhead and stabilization plans clearly and explicitly detailing the construction of the bulkhead or stabilization, types of materials to be used, dimensions, height, location with respect to property lines and mean high-water line shall be provided to the Lacey Township Zoning Officer for public review and record purposes.
All materials used for bulkheading or shore stabilization shall be in compliance with the rules, regulations and requirements of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
