No person or corporation shall act as an auctioneer or conduct a public
sale within the Town of Carmel unless he has obtained an auctioneer's
license from the Town Clerk and paid the required fee therefor.

A.
An annual license may be obtained upon application to
the Town Clerk and upon the payment of the required fee, which license shall
expire on the 31st day of December of the year in which it was issued and
may be renewed annually thereafter upon the payment of the required fee.
B.
The license fee shall be established annually by resolution
of the Town Board at the organizational meeting. A user fee schedule is on
file with the Clerk of the Town of Carmel and is posted in all Town offices.

A special license, good for one sale only, may be obtained upon proper
application as above and upon payment to the Town Clerk of the required fee.
Said fee shall be established annually by the Town Board and shall be on file
in the office of the Town Clerk.
The following regulations and provisions shall apply to the conduct
of all sales within the Town:
A.
Advertising. No advertising signs or bills shall be posted
more than 30 days previous to any sale, and all signs, bills, literature and
any litter caused by the sale shall be removed and cleaned up within five
days after the sale is completed.
A license may be revoked by the Town Board after due notice and hearing
for cause.
