The provisions of this article shall apply except
when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other
traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or
official traffic control device.
Except where angle parking is authorized, every
vehicle stopped, standing or parked upon the highway where there are
no adjacent curbs shall be so stopped, standing or parked parallel
with the edge of the roadway, headed in the direction of lawful traffic.

No person shall park a vehicle upon any highway within the Town of Carmel between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. between November 15 and April 15 of each year, except on the streets and parts of streets indicated in Schedule IX (§ 147-49), attached to and made a part of this chapter.

No person shall park a vehicle with commercial plates which exceeds a gross vehicle weight of 18,000 pounds or has more than one rear axle or exceeds 25 feet in length upon any highway within the Town of Carmel between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. except on the streets and parts of streets indicated in Schedule IX S (§ 147-50), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule X (§ 147-51), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule XI (§ 147-52) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XI, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XII (§ 147-53), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule XIII (§ 147-54) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XIII, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XIV (§ 147-55) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XIV, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule XV (§ 147-56) at any time between the hours listed in said Schedule XV of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XV, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule XVI (§ 147-57) at any time between the hours listed in said Schedule XVI of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XVI, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XVII (§ 147-58) except at the angle designated and only within the painted stall lines. On all streets or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.
The locations described in Schedule XVIII (§ 147-59), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as loading zones.
