The Town of North Hempstead, the Village of Great Neck Estates and the Village of Kensington have heretofore conducted the process described and provided in Article 17 of the General Municipal Law for the annexation of property from one municipality to another. Said process has culminated in the adoption of resolutions, orders and findings by each of said municipalities approving the proposed annexation, and finding the same to be in the public interest. In order to effectuate that annexation and to comply with the requirements of General Municipal Law § 714, this law is adopted.
The following described property in the Town of North Hempstead, County of Nassau, State of New York, heretofore located within the Incorporated Village of Kensington, is hereby annexed to and made part of the Village of Great Neck Estates:
Beginning at a point on the westerly boundary line of the Incorporated Village of Kensington 113.89 feet northerly from the intersection of the northerly side of Beverly Road with said westerly boundary line of the Incorporated Village of Kensington and running thence the following two courses and distances along the westerly boundary line of the Incorporated Village of Kensington:

North 21º 53' 06" West 467.49 feet
running thence South 22º 04' 27" East 500.91 feet;
thence South 22º 41' 52" East 3.01 feet to the point or place of beginning.
The following described property in the Town of North Hempstead, County of Nassau, State of New York, heretofore located within the unincorporated portion of the Town of North Hempstead, is hereby annexed to and made part of the Village of Great Neck Estates:
Beginning at a point on the easterly boundary line of the Incorporated Village of Great Neck Estates said point being near the westerly right-of-way line of Middle Neck Road and 8.33 feet northerly from the northerly end of a curve connecting the easterly boundary line of the incorporated Village of Great Neck Estates with the northerly side of Cedar Drive and running thence the following 14 courses and distances along said easterly boundary line of the Village of Great Neck Estates:

The Official Map of the Village of Great Neck Estates is hereby amended to include the foregoing properties within the boundaries of the Village of Great Neck Estates.
Any local law, ordinance or resolution of the Village of Great Neck Estates in conflict with this local law is hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict, except that such repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or committed in violation of such local law, ordinance or resolution prior to the effective date of this local law.
If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section, article or part of this local law shall be adjudged to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate any other part of this local law or the remainder thereof but shall be confined in its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, section, article or part thereof directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.
This local law shall take effect on May 1, 1992.
