GENERAL REFERENCES

A person who willfully or maliciously does any of the following shall be in violation of this article:
A. 
Injures, tampers with or destroys any building, structure, pump house, garage, shop or residence occupied or used by the City of Hudson, New York, its departments, boards or commissions.
B. 
Injures or destroys the contents of any such building or structure owned or occupied by the City of Hudson, New York, its departments, boards or commissions.
C. 
Injures, destroys, mars, defaces, loosens, tampers with or removes from its location without permission any street sign, parking meter, fire hydrant, fire alarm box, park bench, furniture, playground equipment, motor vehicle, water or sewer supply equipment, apparatus or machinery or any other property owned or controlled by the City of Hudson, New York.
D. 
Unless otherwise authorized by a permit issued pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 199 or 307, there shall be no camping and/or erection of tents or other structures on public property. Further, there shall be no lying down on the ground or lying down on benches, sitting areas or walkways comprising or located on public property which unreasonably interferes with the use of such private property or related benches, sitting areas or walkways by others; no placement of tarps or sleeping bags or other coverings and no storage or placement of personal property on the ground, benches, sitting areas or walkways which unreasonably interferes with the use of such public property by others.

Any person committing an offense against any provision of this article shall be guilty of a violation punishable as follows: by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days or by a fine not exceeding $250, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The continuation of an offense against the provisions of this article shall constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct offense hereunder.
