[Adopted 7-12-1983 as L.L. No. 1 -1983 (Ch. 3, Art. III, of the 1976 Code)]
A. 
The term of office of the elective Town Clerk of the Town of Red Hook shall be four years. Such term shall commence on the first day of January following the first biennial town election after the effective date of this Article.
B. 
At the biennial town election next following the effective date of this Article and every four years thereafter, the Town Clerk shall be elected for a term of four years.
This Article shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State as approved by a majority of the electors thereon in accordance with the requirements of § 23 of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York.[1]
