The Township Tax Collector shall receive as full compensation
for his/her services a sum equal to 3% of all taxes received or collected
by him/her with the exception of the deed transfer taxes for which
he/she shall receive 1% and, in addition thereto, a sum equal to 1%
of all other monies received or collected by him/her. In any event,
compensation shall not exceed $10,000 per annum.
A.
Appointment.
The Board of Township Commissioners shall appoint a Township Treasurer
who may be the elected Tax Collector or an employee of the Township,
to serve at the pleasure of the Board of Township Commissioners. The
Board of Township Commissioners shall determine the compensation of
the Township Treasurer by separate resolution.
B.
Bond. The Township Treasurer shall give a fidelity bond to the commonwealth
in an amount at least equal to 50% of the amount of Township funds
estimated by the Board of Township Commissioners to be available to
the Township Treasurer at any time during the current year.
C.
Treasurer's duties. The Township Treasurer shall perform all other
duties as prescribed by Article VIII-a, 53 P.S. §§ 55801-A
to 55806-A of the First Class Township Code, as amended.

A.
The
salaries of all Lower Moreland Township Commissioners who take office
on or after January 1, 1996, shall be and are hereby set at the rate
of $3,250 per year.
B.
The
salaries of all Lower Moreland Township Commissioners who are elected
or appointed to office after the effective date of this article shall
be and are hereby set at the rate of $3,250.[1]
