A.
No person shall operate or cause to be operated any skateboard,
roller skates, in-line skates, scooters or other wheeled devices upon any
shopping center or mall in the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills to which
the public is invited, nor upon the sidewalks in the Lake Hiawatha business
district, along North Beverwyck Road from Lake Shore Drive to Iroquois Avenue.
B.
In all other areas within the Township where the operation
of such devices is not prohibited, no person under 14 years of age shall operate
any skateboard, roller skates, in-line skates, scooters or other such wheeled
devices unless that person is wearing a properly fitted and fastened helmet.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction,
be punished by a fine not to exceed $50 or community service at the discretion
of the court.
