The Board of Trustees of the Village of Pittsford, pursuant to the authority granted to it by § 10, Subdivision 4, of the Municipal Home Rule Law, and § 150.10 of the Criminal Procedure Law, desires to authorize certain public servants to issue appearance tickets in aid of the enforcement of any statute, local law, ordinance, rule or regulation of the Village of Pittsford.

A. 
The Village Clerk and the Village Building Inspector are hereby designated the public servants authorized by law to issue appearance tickets in the performance of their respective duties when commencing prosecutions for alleged violations of any statute, local law, ordinance, rule or regulation of the Village of Pittsford, New York.

B. 
The Superintendent of Public Works, Department of Public Works employees, Parking Monitor, Village Code Enforcement Officer, Village Building Inspector and Village Fire Marshal are hereby designated public servants, authorized by law to issue appearance tickets regarding alleged violations of the provisions and requirements of Chapter 195, Vehicles and Traffic, of this Code. The public servants listed above shall also be authorized to issue appearance tickets regarding alleged violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law, relating to parked, stopped, and standing vehicles, and any interrelated laws, statutes, rules and regulations.

C. 
The authorizations as set forth above are granted pursuant to § 150.10 of the Criminal Procedure Law of the State of New York. The term "appearance ticket" as used in this section shall have the same meaning as provided in § 150.10, and the procedure governing the use of appearance tickets shall conform in all respects to the procedures set forth in Article 150 of the Criminal Procedure Law and other applicable articles of that law.
Such authorization to use the appearance tickets shall not imply any restraint upon the power of the Village Clerk to utilize other methods of commencing prosecutions for alleged violations of any statute, local law, ordinance, rule or regulation of said village as may be provided by law.
The foregoing authorization is in addition to any and all authorizations heretofore or hereafter given. Any inconsistencies shall be construed in favor of liberal and additional authorization to issue appearance tickets.
