[Amended 8-29-2006 by L.L. No. 6-2006]
The Village of Pittsford hereby reserves to itself the right to apply for and receive the authority to operate under a permit issued by the New York State Thruway Authority, and as amended from time to time, the Schoen Place Waterfront Park (Erie Canal Park), including all Canal Corporation lands located on the north side of the Erie Canal between the State Street Bridge and the North Main Street Bridge.
Upon the issuance of such a permit to the Village of Pittsford, the Village will assume the responsibility for the use of occupancy of the said Schoen Place Waterfront Park. In that connection the Village of Pittsford will establish rules and regulations to govern the use and occupancy of the park, which rules and regulations shall be binding upon all users of the Schoen Place Waterfront Park. The purpose of such rules and regulations will be to assure the orderly, safe, fair and equitable use of said Schoen Place Waterfront Park by the residents of the Village of Pittsford, the operators of businesses in said Village of Pittsford and others from outside the village limits. Such rules and regulations will determine the particular length of dock frontage to be used for private pleasure boats.
