From and after the enactment of this article, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to start or spread any false fire alarm or police alarm, including false alarms caused by improperly maintained or defective alarm systems, within the Borough of Franklin Park, reported to the Borough of Franklin Park, either directly or through the Allegheny County Department of Emergency Services Division of 9-1-1 Communications.
The person, firm or corporation which owns, leases or is responsible for the maintenance of any fire or police alarm shall be responsible hereunder for any false alarm caused by improper maintenance or defect.

Any person or firm violating any section of this article for the first time shall receive a warning. Thereafter, any person, firm or corporation convicted of violating this article in a summary proceeding before a Magisterial District Judge shall be required to pay a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $200, together with the cost of prosecution.
