Hereafter, it shall not be lawful for any person or persons, firm, association, organization or corporation to lay out and use any ground within the Borough limits as a cemetery or burying ground, provided that existing cemeteries may be authorized to extend their grounds within the Borough and to use such extended grounds for burial purposes if special authority therefor is granted by resolution.

Any person or persons, firm, association, organization or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding $600, plus costs of prosecution, and in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 30 days. Each day a violation of this chapter shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
