PERSON
TARGET RANGE
The following words or terms, as used in this chapter, shall have
the following meanings:
Any natural person, partnership, association, organization,
firm or corporation.
A facility, whether indoors or outdoors, regularly maintained
for the controlled discharge of firearms at either fixed or moving
targets in such manner as not to endanger persons or property and
so designed and constructed as to prevent any projectile from traversing
any grounds or space outside the limits of such facility.

In this chapter, the singular shall include the plural and the masculine
shall include the feminine and the neuter.
The Police Department of Springettsbury Township shall issue, without cost, a target range permit to any club, association, team or society organized for the sport of target shooting or having as one of its purposes the education, guidance and instruction of persons in the use of firearms operating a target range if, after an inspection of the facility, the said department shall determine that it meets the qualifications of a target range as defined in § 152-1 of this chapter and is not otherwise detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of the general public.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision
of this chapter, upon conviction thereof in an action brought before
a District Justice in the manner provided for the enforcement of summary
offenses under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, shall
be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $1,000,
plus costs, and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to
a term of imprisonment not to exceed 90 days. Each day that a violation
of this chapter continues or each section of this chapter which shall
be found to have been violated shall constitute a separate offense.
