The title of this chapter is "A Local Law to Authorize the Designation
of the Official Town Newspaper for the Town of New Windsor."
This chapter is adopted pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law § 10(3).
This chapter shall supersede Town Law § 64(11) regarding the
selection of an alternate official Town newspaper.
The Town Board of the Town of New Windsor may designate as the Town's
official newspaper any newspaper of general circulation in the Town without
regard to the order or hierarchy set forth in Town Law § 64(11),
provided that the newspaper meets the statutory definition of a newspaper
as provided in General Construction Law § 60(a) and Public Officers
Law § 70-a.
