No person shall cause or allow the discharging of water from
a swimming pool into the waterways of the Village of Quogue. No person
shall cause or allow the discharging of swimming pool effluent or
waste into the waterways of the Village of Quogue.
Every person operating, sailing or driving a vessel or boat
and every person riding water skis, surfboards or other devices used
on waterways of the Village of Quogue shall at all times operate the
same in a manner (including, without limitation, the throwing of its
wake) so as not to disturb or endanger the property or life or limb
of any person.

A. No person shall operate a vessel or boat on waterways of the Village
of Quogue, propelled wholly or partly by an engine operated by gas,
gasoline, oil or other fuel, without having the exhaust from the engine
run through a muffler or so controlled by the introduction of water
into the exhaust pipe or line so as to muffle the noise of exhaust
in a reasonable manner.
B. No person shall operate a vessel or boat on waterways of the Village
of Quogue in such a manner as to exceed a noise level of 86 decibels,
measured at a distance of 50 feet from the vessel or boat.
C. If any enforcement officer authorized to enforce the provisions of Article
IV of Chapter
118 reasonably believes that a vessel or boat is being operated in a manner which exceeds the allowed noise level provided for in §
118-24B, such officer may request the operator of such vessel or boat to submit such vessel or boat to an on-site tent for measuring noise level, and the operator of such vessel or boat shall comply with such request.
No person shall berth, moor or anchor any vessel or boat (whether
or not self-propelled) occupied as living or sleeping quarters on
the waterways of the Village of Quogue, nor within the Village of
Quogue, for more than 72 consecutive hours without first obtaining
a permit from the Board of Trustees.

No person shall pilot or operate any motor boat or any power-propelled
boat or other device at a speed in excess of six land miles per hour
in or upon the following waterways of the Village of Quogue:
A. All waters within the Village to a distance of 500 feet from the
shoreline.
B. All waters bounding the Village to a distance of 500 feet from the
shoreline.

A. Any person committing an offense against any provision of this article
shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a violation pursuant
to the Penal Law of the State of New York, punishable by a fine not
exceeding $1,000, or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days,
or by both such fine and imprisonment. The continuation of an offense
against the provisions of this article shall constitute, for each
day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct offense hereunder.
B. For each and every violation of this article, the person or persons
responsible for, causing, permitting, assisting in or refusing to
abate or correct such violation shall be subject to a civil penalty
not exceeding $1,000 for each and every such violation. The continuation
of a violation of this article shall constitute, for each day the
violation is continued, a separate and distinct violation hereunder.
