Editor’s Note: This local law also redesignated former Art. VIIIC as Art. VIIID.
The following encroachments are permitted within required front, side and rear yards:
A. 
Cornices and eaves projecting not more than 18 inches.
B. 
Ordinary projections of sills, belt courses and ornamental features projecting not more than six inches.
C. 
Uncovered landings and steps for exterior doorways when necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.
D. 
Uncovered basement egress wells when necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.
E. 
Retaining walls when reasonably necessary to allow placement of an underground septic system in accordance with applicable law.
