A. Current and future members of the Board of Supervisors
shall be limited to hold the position of Supervisor for no more than three
complete consecutive terms.
B. In the event that a Supervisor was appointed to fill
an unexpired term of another Supervisor who, for whatever reason, did not
complete his or her term, the sitting Supervisor shall be limited to two additional
consecutive full terms, plus the balance of the unexpired term.
C. Any Supervisor who no longer holds office as a result
of the term limit requirements of this article shall not seek reelection to
the office of Supervisor for a minimum of three years after expiration of
his or her term.
D. Any Supervisor who no longer holds office as a result
of the term limit requirements of this article shall not fill a vacancy on
the Board of Supervisors for a minimum of two years after expiration of his
term.
The Chairmanship of the Board of Supervisors shall rotate on an annual
basis so that no one member shall be Chairman for two consecutive years.
This article is intended to voluntarily supplement the Second Class
Township Code of the State of Pennsylvania.
