There shall be a Department of Recreation, Community
Celebrations and Parks Administration, which shall be responsible
for, but not necessarily limited to the planning, organizing and effecting
of public recreation policies and programs within the Township. The
head of the Department of Recreation, Community Celebrations and Parks
Administration shall be the Director of Recreation, Community Celebrations
and Parks Administration.

The Director of Recreation, Community Celebrations
and Parks Administration shall be appointed by the Township Manager
and shall be qualified by training and experience in management of
a municipal parks system and recreation programming and operations.

Within the Department of Recreation, Community
Celebrations and Parks Administration, there shall be a Division of
Recreation, the head of which shall be the Director of Recreation,
Community Celebrations and Park Administration. He/she shall be responsible
for the day-to-day administration of the Division of Recreation, which
shall include recreation program development and implementation for
all age groups, including youth, teen, adult and senior populations.
Further the Director shall be responsible for coordinating with and
recommending assistance to volunteer athletic leagues in the Township.
The Director shall be responsible for the day-to-day management and
oversight of a Community/Senior Center and Community Youth Center
upon same being developed by the Township.
Within the Department of Recreation, Community
Celebrations, Park Administration, there shall be a Division of Community
Celebrations, the head of which shall be the Director of Recreation.
He/she shall be responsible for the planning and coordination of activities
for special as well and annual public events within the community
and preparation of a budget funding such activities.

Within the Department of Recreation, Community
Celebrations, Park Administration, there shall be a Division of Park
Administration, the head shall be a Director of Recreation. He/she
shall be responsible for the scheduling of use of Township park facilities
and coordinating with Public Works so as to ensure that the day-to-day
maintenance and repair of park facilities is addressed. The Director
shall be responsible for planning park improvements and the submission
of an annual capital improvement program to the Township Manager.
Further the Director shall seek grants and low interest loans to assist
in the funding of park improvements.
