The erection (including excavation), demolition, alteration or repair of any building prior to 8:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and at any time on Saturdays, Sundays and federal and/or New York State holidays (on which the offices of the Incorporated Village of East Hills are closed) shall be prohibited, except in the case of urgent necessity in the interest of public health and safety, and then under such circumstance only upon issuance from the Mayor or the Village Clerk of a permit, which permit may be granted for a period not to exceed three days during the pendency of such urgent necessity, and which permit may be renewed by the Mayor or the Village Clerk for additional periods not to exceed three days.
Any person violating any provisions of this chapter, or any part thereof, shall be liable and subject to a penalty as prescribed in § 1-16 for each such offense.
