Editor's Note: This local law was originally adopted as Ch. 224, but was redesignated as Ch. 226 to maintain the organizational style of the Code.
Prior to the commencement of work by any person, firm, corporation, association or partnership where excavation, demolition, removal, placement, addition, alteration, or construction occurs, a six-foot fence shall be erected to completely surround and enclose the entire construction site. However, the Building Inspector shall have the right to waive or modify the terms of this chapter where, in his discretion, he deems the work to be performed does not warrant the imposition of its requirements.
A violation of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punishable by a fine of $2,500 per day for each day that the offense continues unabated.
