As used in this chapter, the following terms
shall have the meanings ascribed to them:
The individual, inspector, department or agency set up and
authorized by the Town Board to administer and enforce the provisions
of this chapter, as adopted and amended.
Accepted or acceptable under an applicable specification
stated or cited in this chapter or accepted as suitable for the proposed
use under procedures and powers of administration delegated in this
chapter.
That part of the lowest horizontal piping of a drainage system
which receives the discharge from soil, waste and other drainage pipes
inside the walls of the building and conveys it to the building or
house sewer beginning five feet outside the inner face of the building
wall.
The pipe extending from the building drain to the public
sewer or other place of disposal.
A building drain used for conveying rainwater, groundwater,
subsurface water, condensate, cooling water or other similar discharge
to a building storm sewer or to a combined building drain or sewer.
The pipe extending from the building storm drain to the public
storm sewer, combined sewer or other place of disposal.
A person who is qualified, pursuant to this chapter and the
requirements of a Class B plumbing permit, to install plumbing infrastructure
as defined in this chapter.

A person who, through training and experience, has acquired
the requisite skill and knowledge necessary for the proper installation
of plumbing.
The public sewer in a street, alley or other premises under
the jurisdiction of the Town.
A plumber who is licensed to engage in the business of installing
plumbing as a contractor.
A person certified or licensed to install plumbing.
The installing within buildings of the pipes, fixtures and
other apparatus for bringing in the water supply and removing liquid
and waterborne wastes. The term "plumbing" is also used to denote
the installed fixtures and piping of a building.
The Board appointed by the Town Board to exercise the powers and duties outlined in Article V of this chapter.
Receptacles which receive water, liquid or waterborne wastes
and discharge them into a drainage system with which they are directly
or indirectly connected.
Underground piping and structures for sewer service, water
service and storm drainage where the pipe size exceeds four inches.

The portions of the plumbing infrastructure which shall include
but not be limited to fire hydrants, catch basins, fire service lines,
water service lines and sewer service lines that exceed four inches,
and water meter pits.

Includes the water supply system, the fixtures and fixture
traps, the soil, waste and vent pipes, the building or house drain
and the building or house sewer and the stormwater drainage pipes,
with their devices, appurtenances and connections, all within or adjacent
to the building.
Any liquid waste containing human, animal or vegetable matter
in suspension or solution and may include liquid from laboratories
or industrial institutions containing minerals in solution.
With reference to a building, the potable and nonpotable
water service pipe, the water distributing pipes and the necessary
connecting pipes, fittings, control valves and all appurtenances in
or adjacent to the building.
The minimum standards for plumbing installations
shall be as prescribed by the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention
and Building Code.

Any person who violates any provision of this
chapter, upon conviction thereof, may be punished by a fine not exceeding
$250 or imprisonment for up to 15 days, or both, and in addition thereto
may forfeit his or her license and certificate of competency.
