[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Maidencreek 6-5-1969 by Ord. No. 49. Amendments noted where applicable.]
A Planning Commission of the Township of Maidencreek, Berks County, Pennsylvania, is hereby established and created.
Said Planning Commission shall consist of five members, each of whom shall serve for a term of four years and until his successor is appointed and qualified, except that the terms of the members first appointed shall be so fixed that the term of one member shall be for one year, the term for one member shall be for two years, the term of one member shall be for three years, and the term of two members shall be for four years, computed from July 1, 1969.[1]

Editor's Note: Original Section 3, regarding the appointment of the original members, which immediately followed this section, was deleted at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. II). The original members of the Commission were: Paul W. Sanders, Lawson D. Burgert, Shirley C. Jones, Jacqueline P. Hammes and John K. Kooker, Jr.
The Planning Commission established by this chapter shall have all the powers and shall perform all of the duties as set forth in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act No. 247, approved the 31st day of July, 1968,[1] and such other powers and duties as may hereafter be granted it by law.
