§ 9-21 Membership; duties.

The Township Council of the Township of Robbinsville hereby establishes a Cable Television Advisory Committee (CTAC) which shall consist of five members, who shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council. The terms of service of each member shall be until such time as it is determined by the Council that the CTAC purpose has been fulfilled and the CTAC is abolished. Except however, if any member appointed is unable or unwilling to serve as a member, he/she shall be permitted to resign and that position shall be filled by appointment as set forth herein.
The CTAC may establish its own procedural rules, and its duties shall be as follows:
Making recommendations to the governing body;
Developing an understanding of cable television issues;
Analyzing which services can be required of a cable operator;
Evaluating the cable operator’s reliability and performance;
Ascertaining community needs;
Producing a municipal report;
Establishing a dialogue with the cable operator; and
Participating in franchise negotiations to the extent permitted or allowed by the governing body (N.J.A.C. 14:18-11.3).[1]
